Leasing Landscape
Ugandan leasing is led by DFCU Bank, Stanbic Uganda, and Housing Finance Bank. Boda-boda (motorcycle) leasing has emerged as a significant segment, enabling thousands of riders to start their own businesses.
Regulations
The Financial Institutions Act (2004) and its amendments govern leasing activities. Bank of Uganda regulates all licensed financial institutions offering leasing products.
