Africa's Leasing

Lessor

The owner of an asset who leases it to another party. The lessor retains legal ownership while the lessee uses the asset. Example: KCB Asset Finance purchases a fleet of 10 buses and leases them to a Nakuru transport company. KCB is the lessor — they own the buses on paper, collect monthly payments, and can repossess the vehicles if the transport company defaults.
